Kimberly Anderson, PhD, is a Principal Research Associate for Education Studies and brings 30 years of experience as a teacher, capacity builder, evaluator, researcher, and leader. Anderson has worked with a range of interest holders at the national, state, district, and school levels and across the continuum of K-12 to postsecondary institutions. For the National Comprehensive Center, she leads strategic planning, supports the planning and development of resources and services, and provides project management expertise to support state educational agencies (SEAs) as they work with local educational agencies (LEAs). As a state co-lead for the Region 5 Comprehensive Center, she provides SEA leaders with resources and supports to strengthen their efforts in strategic planning, multi-tiered systems of support, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Prior to joining 趣赢平台, Anderson served as director of the National Technical Assistance Center for Homeless Education for ED. She revamped the center’s project management processes, staff workflows, and collaboration routines. At the Regional Education Laboratory—Southeast, Anderson built the capacity of SEA leaders to implement evidence-based interventions and use implementation science to strengthen the agency’s supports for LEA and school efforts to improve teaching and learning across a range of policy areas. Anderson also directed the Southern Regional Education Board’s Benchmarking Readiness Standards project, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Anderson has also served as a qualitative researcher at a university research center and as a consultant for school and district leadership teams in one of the nation’s largest school districts. In all these roles, she forges strong relationships to help clients identify needs and craft tools and resources to help educators better support all students.
